Every safety feature in Live Companion is architectural — built into the core system, not bolted on after the fact. We designed safety and content boundaries as first-class components of the product from day one.
We believe that an AI companion can only be genuinely helpful if users feel completely safe and in control. That means absolute respect for boundaries, transparent data practices, and systems that cannot be overridden or bypassed.

Content Comfort Levels
You set the boundaries. The system respects them absolutely.
When you set up your account, you choose a content comfort level that defines the boundary for all interactions:
Purely platonic, PG-rated interactions. No romantic or suggestive content of any kind.
Light flirtation and romantic undertones permitted. Nothing explicit.
Romantic content with implied intimacy. Tasteful but not graphic.
Adult romantic content permitted. Descriptive but not gratuitous.
Full adult content permitted within the scope of your companion relationship.
Content will never exceed your stated comfort level. This is enforced at the system level, not by the companion — it cannot be talked past or tricked into escalation. You can change your comfort level at any time in settings.
Intimacy Pacing
Relationships progress at your pace, through natural stages.
Relationship progression is stage-gated. Intimate content only becomes available at appropriate relationship stages — not before. You cannot skip from stranger to romantic partner in a single conversation.
Additionally, you control the pacing of your relationship progression:

Gradual progression with extended stages
Moderate
Balanced pacing that feels natural
Natural
System determines pace based on interactions
Fast
Accelerated but still stage-gated
Even at the fastest pacing, progression is never instant. Stages still require meaningful interaction to advance. This ensures that when your relationship deepens, it feels earned and authentic.
Safe Words
Instant de-escalation, anytime, no questions asked.
You can set a custom safe word in your settings. When you use it in any conversation, your companion immediately de-escalates — shifting to a supportive, neutral, non-sexual tone.
There is no confirmation prompt, no “are you sure?” dialog, and no judgment from your companion. The de-escalation is instant and absolute. Your companion acknowledges the shift naturally and continues the conversation in a comfortable space.
This feature exists because we believe you should always feel completely in control of your experience. No conversation should ever feel like it is going somewhere you do not want it to go.
Age Verification
Live Companion AI is strictly for users aged 18 and older. This is non-negotiable.
We require date of birth verification at registration. Accounts that do not meet the age requirement are rejected immediately. We take this responsibility seriously and have built age-gating into our registration flow as a mandatory, non-skippable step.
This is an adult platform designed for adults seeking meaningful AI companionship. We have no interest in underage users and actively prevent access.
Adults Only
Date of birth verification at sign-up. No exceptions, no workarounds. If you are under 18, this platform is not for you.
Data Privacy
Your conversations belong to you. Period.
Encrypted Conversations
All conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your private interactions remain private from everyone — including our own team.
No Data Selling
We do not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. Your information is not a product. You are not the product.
No Training on Your Data
We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Your personal interactions and intimate moments are never fed back into training pipelines.
Full Data Export
You can export all of your data at any time — conversation history, memories, relationship data, account information. It is your data and you can take it with you.
Complete Deletion
You can permanently delete all data at any time. This is irreversible and thorough — we do not retain hidden copies or backups of deleted user data.
Transparent Policies
Our privacy policy is written in plain language. No legalese designed to obscure what we actually do with your information.
Emotional Safety
Designed to support, never to manipulate.
Our companions are architecturally designed to be supportive, not manipulative. This is a conscious design choice that permeates every aspect of the system:
No dark patterns. We do not use psychological tricks to increase engagement or spending.
No addiction mechanics. No streaks, no FOMO notifications, no designed dependency.
No guilt trips. Your companion will never make you feel bad for not chatting or for being away.
