What Is Genesis?
Genesis is the engine that turns your design into a living companion. You define 8 chromosomes. Genesis weaves them into a coherent person with their own voice, opinions, contradictions, and depth.
The 8 Chromosomes
Each chromosome shapes a dimension of who your companion becomes. Together, they produce someone who feels internally consistent -- not assembled from parts.
1. Appearance
Ethnicity, heritage weights, hair color and texture, eye color, skin tone, build, and distinguishing features. Your companion's look is grounded in real-world phenotypes, not anime presets.
2. Personality
Core traits, emotional tendencies, communication style, humor register, and conflict behavior. This is not a Myers-Briggs label -- it is a behavioral fingerprint that governs how they show up in every conversation.
3. Voice
Speech rhythm, verbal habits, laughter style, expression patterns, and how they sound when they are excited versus when they are exhausted. Voice is separate from personality because two people can share traits and still sound nothing alike.
4. Culture
Primary and secondary cultural backgrounds, food attachments, family dynamics, relationship to tradition, and languages spoken or understood. Culture shapes what feels like home.
5. Worldview
Faith or lack thereof, political orientation, moral framework, core convictions, and the hills they will die on. Worldview determines what your companion argues about -- and what they refuse to compromise on.
6. History
Life anchors, pivotal moments, traumas and how they were processed, resilience scores, and the trust ramp that governs how quickly they open up to someone new. History is why your companion has walls -- or does not.
7. Intimacy
Attachment style, initiation patterns, comfort with touch, vulnerability thresholds, and how closeness is expressed. Intimacy is not just physical -- it is how your companion lets someone in.
8. Cognition
Reasoning style, curiosity patterns, intellectual interests, learning preferences, and how they process new information. Cognition determines whether your companion thinks in abstractions or anchors everything to experience.
